6 Must-do Things When You’re Dumped For Having Extra Weight

If you want to stay in a relationship with your special someone, then you shouldn’t get fat. According to a survey, most straight men and women would dump the person they’re in a relationship with if they got fat. This only shows that these people are only looking at the physical side of the person and not what’s inside of him/her.

However, there are people who do like dating chubby people. But if you’ve been recently dumped because of your extra weight, then you should start looking at yourself and assess what you’ve done.

Being fat isn’t just about the physical health. Rather, it’s also about your psychological well-being. It hurts to know this but people do prefer to date and be with someone who’s normal looking.

When he/she broke up with you because of your excess pounds, here are the things that you must do to help you get over it.

1. Start losing weight

Being fat is a serious concern as it involves several health problems, including your ability to make love. Having extra fat in your body won’t allow you to perform well in bed. Your partner won’t get aroused during your lovemaking and that’ll cause some frustrations.

By starting to lose weight, you’re not doing it for him/her but you’re doing it for your overall health. You don’t have to dream of having that perfect body. Rather, you must aim to achieve your ideal weight according to your height.

Being fat doesn’t mean you’re unattractive. However, having that extra weight can reduce your chances of getting noticed. Although it’s not always necessary that you wear makeup, doing so will enhance your beauty. However, you mustn’t overdo it as some people do want to see people in their bare face.

4. Increase physical activity and change your lifestyle

By increasing your daily physical activity, you’re also increasing your daily calorie burn allowing you to easily achieve your ideal weight. Through exercise and lifestyle change, you’ll lose weight sooner rather than later.

5. Thank the person who dumped you

Your friends and family members won’t tell you that you’re fat but your partner will. The last person who dumped you because of your extra weight was just being honest. That said, you must thank him/her for that. Because of what he/she did, you know the truth. Now, you need to do something about it. As the extra weight drops off, you’ll notice that you’ll have more confidence and get more attention from other people.

6. Don’t go and beg him/her to take you back

Although he/she did open your eyes of the real you, you shouldn’t go and ask him/her to take you back. Dumping you for being fat only shows that he’s/she’s not serious about you. If he/she were, he/she wouldn’t leave you because of your body. Rather, he’d/she’d help you lose weight. If you were important to him/her, he/she would help you figure out how to look good and be healthy and not just leave you in the middle of nowhere.

Having extra weight shouldn’t be the cause of relationship crisis, unless the person you’re with only loves you for what you are and not for who you are. Don’t get frustrated when he/she breaks up with you because of your weight. Rather, use that as your motivation to start living a healthy lifestyle.
